Kashmiri Pandit was shot

A shopkeeper in Kashmir’s Shopian district was shot, marking the fourth terrorist attack in the Valley since yesterday.

Bal Krishan, a Kashmiri Pandit, was shot in the hand and leg and was taken to a military hospital in Srinagar. His condition, according to reports, is stable.

Terrorists opened fire on CRPF personnel in Srinagar’s Maisuma area earlier today, killing one and injuring another. The two paramilitary personnel were rushed to the SMHS Hospital, where one was pronounced dead on arrival.

The area was cordoned off, and a search for the attackers began.

Omar Abdullah of the National Conference condemned the killing in a tweet “I join my colleagues in condemning the incident and sending my condolences to the family of the CRPF jawan killed in the line of duty. Prayers for the injured jawan, hoping for a full recovery.”

Mehbooba Mufti, president of the PDP, tweeted: “Condemn today’s attack on CRPF personnel in Maisuma. This senseless violence accomplishes nothing other than to bring misery to the innocent families of those killed. My condolences go out to the family, and my prayers go out to the injured.” The JK Pradesh Congress Committee and the Apni Party both condemned the CRPF personnel’s killing.

“According to the police, the CRPF men were attacked just hours after two migrant workers were shot at in Pulwama. “Both injured people were taken to a hospital. The area has been surrounded by barricades.
