Today, January 19, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will open registration for NEET-UG 2021, or National Eligibility Cumulation Entrance Test Undergraduate, counseling for the 15% all India quota (AIQ) seats. Candidates who have passed the NEET UG 2021 examination can apply online at MCC.nic.in.

MCC is in charge of NEET UG counseling for MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Armed Force Medical Services (AFMS), and AIIMS and JIPMER seats under the AIQ, as well as seats at central and deemed universities, Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Armed Force Medical Services (AFMS), and AIIMS and JIPMER.

Instead of the previous two rounds, MCC NEET UG counseling for AIQ seats will be conducted in four rounds: AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Round, and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round.

The application portal for NEET UG counseling round 1 will commence today, January 19, and finish on January 24. Candidates will have to fill up options between January 20 and January 24 after completing NEET-UG AIQ round 1 registration. While institutes will verify candidates between January 25 and January 26, the round 1 seat allocation outcome will be announced on January 29.

Round 2 registration will be held from February 9 to 14, and the mop-up round will be held from March 2 to 7.

Candidates must select and confirm institutions from a list of accessible alternatives after registering for each round. Candidates will be verified and seats will be assigned as needed.

The MCC will hold an online stray vacancy round for Central universities, institutes, and all India quota seats for the 2021-22 academic session. It was formerly conducted offline and at the institute level.
