MacBook Pro Models Leaked On Weibo, New Chipsets for New Mac Models

MacBook Pro models are expected to be unveiled later today at Apple’s special event. The new MacBook Pro models may be powered by new Apple chips, which will likely be called the M1 Pro and M1 Max. Its variants will probably come in 14- and 16-inch screen sizes and will have thin bezels around the screen. It is stated that the MacBook Pro’s bezels will be so thin that Apple might need to make a notch to house the webcam and other sensors.

Chinese informant TiAmo has leaked the new information about the new MacBook Pro models on Weibo. The insider claims that the laptop will have a small notch at the top of the screen in the middle.

Mark Gurman reports in the current PowerOn newsletter, that Apple may introduce new chipsets for new Mac models. Gurman adds that the Apple M1 Pro can have a built-in 16-core GPU and the M1 Max can have a 32-core GPU. One of the Mac developers has told Gurman that the chips will be called M1 Pro and M1 Max.

The launch event is programmed for 10.30 pm IST today, and the base model of the MacBook Pro is likely to get a new charging block, 512GB of storage, and 16GB of RAM. The new MacBook Pro models are expected to feature a Mini-LED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Past leaks claim the AirPods may also launch next to the new MacBook Pro models.
