According to data given by the local health authority on Sunday, there were 141 new Covid cases and one more death, with a positive rate of 1.29 percent.
As per the most recent data, the COVID-19 caseload in the national capital has climbed to 18,66,243, with a death count of 26,157. Over the last few days, there has been an increase in COVID-19 instances in Delhi.
The capital recorded 160 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, with a 1.55 percent positive rate. It recorded 146 new cases and one new death on Friday, with a positive rate of 1.39 percent.
On Wednesday, 126 new cases were reported, with a 1.12% positive rate, and one person died as a result of the sickness. On Thursday, the city reported 176 instances, up 40% over the previous day’s count. The positive rate was 1.68 percent, and there were no deaths reported.
As stated in the bulletin, 10,939 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Delhi the day before. During the third wave of the pandemic, the number of daily COVID-19 cases in Delhi reached a new high of 28,867 on January 13 this year.
On January 14, the city had the highest positive rate during the pandemic’s third wave, which was predominantly driven by the highly transmissible Omicron form of the coronavirus.
According to the newsletter, up to 450 COVID-19 patients are being treated at home in the capital. In Delhi hospitals, there are 9,745 COVID-19 beds, with 49 (0.5%) of them filled, according to the report.
